Mapfara holds the message of dreams in one hand and the message of balance in the other: his purpose is disarmingly simple, even though his sculptures can take on widely varying and complex forms.


There is a kind of life in the objects he builds laboriously and attentively, as if it were a form of pregnancy: this is evident in the multiple gazes, the endless faces that he carves into the clay bodies to which he then gives these widely variable and complex shapes.
